Exploration
The sound of truck tires running over twigs as it approaches the woods
The cool breeze and hot sun touch the skin of us wanderers
One trail opens up to many
The river streaming gently over jagged rocks through the center of the forest
Squirrels darting across our feet
Birds gliding over head
Frogs croaking in their home
Trees as tall as skyscrapers block the clouds
The beauty of nature reflects like an endless maze
Us explorers are accustomed to roads, factories, and technology
We take for granted the mystery of nature
While it is only a curiosity away
