I can feel
The pain
In my elbow
Becoming more prominent
The longer that I write.
The pain
Isn’t all bad.
The pain
Means that I’m doing good work
As I continue
To lay this thin lead
Along the varying blue lines
Of cheap, college-ruled paper.
