The Most Special People
The most special people
Are the ones who are too wild,
Too crazy to fit into the world’s
Cookie cutter, picture perfect,
Person shaped frame
They stand outside of this
Black and white society
Because the war paint on their faces
Is the colors of the rainbow,
All shades of skin
Yet the world rejects them;
Calls them crazy, mental, deranged
Beats them, and then looks the other way
And places a gun in their hands
Faced to their heads
They push back against the world
And defy impossibility
Because they know the future is not made
By simply following the rules.
They are strong.
