Christmas Time
It’s finally that time of year
When the air fills with Christmas cheer
Snowflakes falling from the sky
Landing on everyone who passes by
Parents rush to find the perfect toys
For all of the good little girls and boys
Friends and family race from store to store
To get a gift that means so much more
Before you hurry off to the next shop
Take some time out of your searching and stop
To remember that on this very special day
My one and only son was born in a manger full of hay
I know that during this exciting new season
It is easy to forget Christmas’s true reason
But when you go home tonight
And listen to Santa’s sleigh take flight
Gather around the fire with your family and pray
To thank God for all the love He sends down your way
God gave you the best gift there has ever been
He sent you his son to save us from sin
