I Still Need You
The memory of you puts a smile on my face
But it also puts tears in my eyes,
I miss you for the unconditional love you gave,
I miss you for the smiles you helped spread across my face,
I miss you for the funny moments,
I miss you for all the memories we didn’t get to create.
I wear your perfume,
I try to give advice like you did,
I try to make you proud,
It hurts me knowing you’re not a call away,
It hurts me knowing that in a moment 13 years of my life was blown away,
I know you’re always with me,
I thought you were going to hold my tiny hands forever,
But as I grew up I realized that forever wasn’t as long as I needed it to be.
