Stolen Radiance
Upon the face
Of which I have been mesmerized by,
Shyly and in complete awe of
Since the very beginning:
I notice a fracture forming
Pieces of her halo chipping off
And a chasm in her brow line opening up
Sickly-sweet nectar pours out from within her;
The glossy veneer she has painted over herself
Is beginning to fade, just a mirage.
The face I have been consumed by,
So much that I see it in the waters, in the wind,
And in my divine dreams;
This face, the only I have ever seen,
Is cracking,
Decaying, losing her enchantment.
My utopia is gone; she has been stolen from me.
