“Stories may well be lies, but they are good lies that say true things, and which can sometimes pay the rent.”
― Neil Gaiman

let me Speak
let me Sleep
don't keep me Up at Night
don't Tighten my Chest
you are Not Helping
you are a plant whose roots have no origin
trimming you back only sprouts more leaves
Thinking makes your flowers bloom
Ignorance makes your growth still
what Good are you
who tells me So Little
what Good are you
who is No Help

This poem is a vent piece I wrote for my creative writing class when our teacher had us do a prompt on our relationship with stress. It ended up being about my relationship with stress and anxiety. The two are closely related in my life.
