Encapsulated, shriveled, withdrawn-
Completely and utterly unremarkable,
Indistinguishable in a shroud of darkness--
What is beauty with no eye to witness?
Veiled is the bride’s elegance--
Who knows the visage beneath?
The night is a thief--
Grace snatched by darkness,
Reluctantly by morn returned--
Young rays of sun strike gold across the land,
The thief hastily retreats.

Uninhibited, liberated, in bloom--
The morning glory unfurls its petals,
Opens its royal face to the heavens-
The veil now lifted,
The radiant bride dressed in lavender-
Proud and defiant in the light of day,
Humbled and meek as night falls once more-
