I am from the Crystal lake.

Water clear and the sun beating,
burnt till I can’t move but still eager to enjoy the warmth.
Regretting no sunscreen.

I am from the sand between my toes.
Florida breeze rushing through my hair and waves crash swiftly on the shore.
Fish fighting fiercely while pulling me into the water.
Battling for my life.

I am from the snow crunching under my feet.
Waking up smelling Christmas and seeing the presents overflowing
Blessed to build the annual Snowman with my sisters
Family traditions.

I am from Saturday morning.
Saturday soccer mornings; the best kind of mornings.
Games after a week of hard work pays of in the end with the feeling of victory.
Determined for success.

I am from squeaky shoes.
Sweat dripping from my face onto the free throw line, but tasting victory.
One shot to win. One shot to achieve greatness. One shot to change my life.
Hardwork pays off.

I am from the slopes of Cascade.
The frosty air filling my lungs with winter,
soaring off jumps like an eagle, but knowing I wasn’t ready to leave the nest.
Confidence kills.

I am from the worst place on earth: school.
Waking up not knowing what the day will bring.
Watching the clock on the edge of my seat, waiting eagerly for the weekend to hit.
Five more years.
