Depressd Stereotypes
You live in a depressed world.
You are taught that as you walk through the school halls you must look down at your feet because you don't want to have to force a smile to the student walking by.
You plunge into your computer and listen to your angry music that invites ideas of harm and hurt into your head.
You try to dress the best, tell the best joke, be the best at everything thing you do because if you aren't, then what's the point?
You take one more shot, smoke one more cigarette, take one more pill to feel “good” for a little just to do it again, because you never feel happy enough.
He lives in a depressed world.
He loves his mother but calls her a bunch of harsh names with his friends because for some reason he is under the impression of it being cool.
He pushes the scrawny kids against the lockers and tries to seem tough because he doesn't want people to know how easily his feelings can get hurt.
He falls into a unhealthy state due to him holding his feelings in because, as dad always says, “men don't cry”.
He goes to all the parties and does whatever he wants because “you only live once”.
She lives in a depressed world.
She posts new pictures after school and then hovers over her phone waiting for the amount of likes to show her how pretty she is today.
She bounces around from guy to guy, because hearing that her family loves her isn't filling her heart enough.
She wears the least amount of clothes that she can get away with so she can catch all the boys glances as she walks down the hall.
She listens in on all the drama, taking sides and making side remarks so that she fits in with the rest of the girls.
We live in a depressed world.
We feel as though we need to fit in with all this dysfunction.
We think this is all that there is, but I know different.
I know that this earth is only temporary, that there is more than just this life.
We live in a depressed world, but we are not limited to a depressed life.
You are so much more than a depressed stereotype.
