The Life I live
The life I live is harder than an average person’s
I am fighting myself 24/7
Pushing myself to limits
trying to
Look,
Act
And, Feel like an average person
But, that never works out
I don’t want to be average, but I don’t want to feel how I feel
I feel knives cutting down my crooked spine
I feel hammers beating at my hips, Screws driving into my ribs
I feel sadness and frustration
That I cannot be how I want to be
I want to look and feel average, but I can’t
Because
This is the life I live.

I was inspired to write this, becasuse I have scoliosis. Scoliosis is when your spine is curved. My spine is shaped like an S, and nobody seems to understand the pain I go through or, the way I feel all the time. So, I decided to express how I feel through poetry.
