Terrifying stare
Terrifying Stare
Waiting in the car
My friend and I turned our heads
What we saw was
Worse than seeing a clown on Halloween night
A tall Woman with dark hair
Stood at the gas pump
Giving us an ice stare.
Eye to eye, face to face
Mysterious, strange and weird feelings
Fill our entire body head to toe
Millions of thoughts race through our head
I thought, Who is this woman? Why is she looking at us?
My heart beat started to quicken
Nervous laughter turned to chills up our spine
The woman’s ghost like pale face
Was staring into our eyes
Afraid and alone
We see a figure coming from the store
In that moment I realized it was my friends mom
That is when we knew
This odd experience would come to an end
I feel a sense of relief deep down inside
The terror of the stare was bone chilling
We tell her mom all about what had happened
But we just brushed it off as if it were nothing
But,Even though we didn’t think anything of it
It doesn’t make this experience
Any less terrifying than it already was

This poem was inspired by a time my friend and I were in the car at the gas station and we saw a creepy woman staring at us. I want people to imagine they are there when reading the poem to really undrstand it more.
