Death is the mother of beauty

Dreamcatcher:

Darling what happened to you?
The way you sleep at night
You dream
I watch so closely
Was that a twitch, a slight movement?
I was once your special gift
Now I’m a memory starting to fade.

After so many years
I still rest incomplete
My nest used to catch nothing
I gave you wondrous hours of imagery
Like walking in a forest
      Surrounded in white snow
Or letting sweet melodies fall from your lips
     And fall off your tongue
I gave you such confidence
But shattered my own.

My power of enlightenment
     Is ending
I feel as if I’m caught in a web
    But I created it.
My beautiful soft hues
Of a broken blue and dynamite red
Fade
My feathers
Disappear
And sooner or later
I will too.

i wrote this piece because one i had too, but also because i loved dreamcatchers and they give me a melancholic feel
