Friends
To you I was just a friend,
a girl of your choice.
Not a lover or hater
just a friendly kind voice.
We laughed and we joked,
fooled around and had fun,
but I loved you more
than most friends could have done.
You told me a secret not one I wanted to hear,
yet I listened so simply without shedding a tear.
I knew from that moment, from there and on in we
couldn't be more then friends ever been.
We were not lovers not haters, but friends none the
less, so my love for you had to be put at a rest.
It's not what I wanted but I knew it was best for we
were just friends.
Nothing more.
Nothing less.
