The Campfire
My idols are a campfire
They are strong united and beautiful.
My mom, the rocks, surrounding
The fire, creating a safe
Haven for it to burn. Strong,
Protective, and unrelenting.
My dad, the wood, strong
And sturdy, reliably keeping
The fire burning through thick
And thin.
My aunt, Heather, the oxygen
Fueling and feeding the fire.
Loving and caressing it she
Keeps it going.
My aunt, Stacey, the fire itself.
Beautiful, strong, and wild.
Dancing unpredictably, she
Makes life bright.
Me, I'm simply a spark
Sitting by, watching, listening,
Yearning. Dreaming of the
Day when I will be a powerful
Inferno with love surrounding
Me.
