Let me tell you a story about a friend
A friend that I didn’t know their life would soon end
So heart breaking that a i’m sorry for you loss could never mend
The disbelief
That someone would say it's must be a relief
People nowadays just don't get it
People nowadays should just quit it
People are not puppets that you can just control
Making fun of people what is your goal
You are part of the reason they are six feet deep down in a hole
Do you not realize it’s their happiness you stole
Their mother came home and said no baby no
I was supposed to see you grow
Now do you get it
Now will you quit it
Of course not
So this is a message to people like you
You say it's just a joke
You didn’t mean to make them feel broke
But you do not realize the darkness you just woke
You think its funny
To make fun of how their family has less money
Or even how they always wear the same clothes
It’s people like you that make them feel mostly lows
You say sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me
But your words punch them in the gut and make them fall down on one knee
And when they get home they think to themselves yes i'm finally free
But you and I know that’s not true because you won’t let them be
You send them a text
And they think oh boy whats next
So you send them a picture of checks
Because all you wanna do is just flex
Or maybe you make fun of them because their family has been torn apart
You tell them how no one will ever love them with all their heart
You tell them they’re a mistake
That they are something their parents wish they could unmake
Or at least remake
But leave them alone for goodness sake
I'm about to outtake this outbreak
For their sake
I will not partake
In this heart break
You see because I’ve been there
Its unfair
Telling us you care
But all you do is stop and stare
You don’t really care
You see the cuts on our wrist
And think about that suicide checklist
But I insist
That you resist
Some checklist
And just assist
So more of us will exist
Four thousand four hundred teens commit suicide each year
It’s time to take a stand and kick it into high gear
For very successful attempt one hundred others fail, am I making myself clear
That means four hundred and forty four thousand four hundred try
And four thousand four hundred of them die
It's the third leading cause of death of young people in america but why
Well here's why
In some ways are we the bad guy
We choose to be silent
Even when it becomes violent
We see them walk into class with a black eye
And think well I’m glad I’m not that guy
But don’t be shy
Just ask why
and if they say bye
Then say hi
Cause your hi
Could be why
They don’t die
Listen to their war cry
Don’t say goodbye
Be a good guy
And if they start to cry
Then stay nearby
Until they have a dry eye
Don't pass bye
Leaving them with a glassy eye
But just say hi
Just ask why
You could bringing them from feeling low to feeling miles high
And to those of you who are being made fun of
You need to realize God is love
So when other people push and shove
Turn to him because he’ll put you above
Greater is he that is in you
And it’s about time you get a clue
He will see you through and through
Your life will go from being one to being two
His son gave his life for you
Taking your life is something you shouldn’t do
But a relationship with him is something you should pursue
It's time you hear the truth
In this time of your youth
Today you can choose to fight
Even in your darkest night
Cry out to the Lord
Pick up your sword
Face your biggest fears
The fears you’ve had for years
Open up your eyes and listen with your ears
Wipe off all your tears
It's time to switch gears
Life can get you down
But you can turn that around
No time to back down
Satan is real
But here's the deal
You have power in your words
So tell him to flee
Just say flee from me
Jesus already defeated death, hell, and the grave
You are no longer a slave
He took away your chains
Time to switch lanes
I understand you’re hurt
People treating you like dirt
But it's time we forgive
Time to move on so our lives we can live
Like I said i’ve been there
But God gave me the best care
A love like this is very rare
And it's something you must share
You must reap what you sow
So to each and every hater
God’s got something for you later

I wrote this poem for two friends I had that ended up killing themselves. They we bullied and so was I. I wish there was something I could have done but I know I can't blame myself. This poem is for them.
