June 24th
The summer lasted longer than you did
  Where did you go?
  Where did you go
  How long were you planning
  This doomsday?
  I'd like to know
  Why did you leave?
  It's selfish to say
  "I want to go too"
  Instead of
  "Please stay"
But we all have a little
  Of selfish in us
Is that why you did it?
  What was it like
  Staring death in the face
I want to hear your last thought
  Your last breath
  It's been years
  Where did the games go?
  Did you pack them away
Along with the rest of your things?
  I'm waiting
For everything to drain out of me
  So were you
  Except you ran out
  A lot quicker
  Quicker than I thought
  Your smile held nothing
  My pleads meant something
  But it's too late
  It's too late
  Please, please, please
  Don't be gone
  In loving memory
  Goodbye

This is quite a personal piece of work that I had written. It is a bit of a mess, but that's kind of the style that I was going for because when I had experienced what I was writing about, that's exactly how I felt. Like a mess of some words.
