I'm a Tree

I'm a tree.
It's not that hard
I just stand there
with my friends.
Sometimes
when it gets cold out
humans cut some of us down.
It makes me sad
to see my friends go
but I hear good things
happen to them.
I secretly hope
to be cut down one day
because I know
it'll happen someday.
They'll take me
to someone's house
and I'll be decorated
with twinkling lights
and stars and ornaments.
I hope to be cut down
if that'll happen someday.
