Writer's Block Commute

I am filling up verses

Imaginary lines on a page

A vast ocean reaching to the fleeting sky

But anchored to the earth

Words describing my nonexistent ideas

Of what to write

And how much to write

When will I catch the train

To escape my failures

I don't know

The worst phrase

In a world that keeps turning

If I'll be early or late

If I am late

I know

It will be a mistake I can never fix
