I’ve written pages
Upon pages
Just to be thrown away.
I’ve imagined stories
I can only hope
Have happened in
Another life.
I can only dream
That somewhere else
We didn’t go wrong
And that in some other
Fold in space
The taste of your lips
Is still fresh in my mind.
And I can only wonder
If I feel this heartache
Because part of my soul
Is tied to you forever
And I’ll always feel the
Push and pull
Of you
Bouncing around on your own
Out there, somewhere.
