The Night
As night began to fall on the Prairie,
The Creepy Shadows elongated,
and my grinning freckle covered face darkened.
The wicked night had begun.
I turned and ran, with the night on my heels.
I passed the trees In the green hats who cheered at their strange dinner parties.
I ran and ran,
Passing hay stacks and more trees In the green hats.
Running,
Running.
I tripped and fell.
It felt like I broke my nose.
There were hummingbirds in my stomach.
The night was on me in an instant,
Its Matted, wet, black fur was in my face,
Clawing, biting, eating me whole with its Large mouth.
