Bitter Kiss
I love seeing you walk in my dreams with me while you hold my hand
Celestial disaster twins are we.
You are truly a dew drop doll
With pacific eyes bordered by blond eyelashes
There is the magic of eternity in your eyes.
With these tortured and corrupted lungs of mine I still whisper your name;
I want to press ‘I love yous’ into the galaxies of your skin
but only if you’ll let me
You are subtle melancholy,
making hell feel like home and smelling like such a love I’ve never dreamed.
Where will we find these fantastic beasts--
do they dwell within your ribcage, deep in your lungs?
May I prick my fingers on your soul to
paint my fingernails in the dark shades that veil your eyes?
Sometimes your words are clarinet screeches driving into my skull,
dyed at their base to make me feel real.
When we have each other, we have everything.
Secrets words cannot mend, scratches that cannot be disguised.
Are we a poisonous infatuation, toxic with a heated love?
Or are we a lunar beauty, light and loving with darkness on the other side?
