As(phy/fi)x(i)ate
Do you know what it’s like to breathe
While drowning below a thousand miles
Of ocean water, take the jump.
The jump that dives you into the thoughts
Of thousands of people, broken just like you
Destroyed by the demons that haunt the rest.
The water creeps slowly up surrounding you
But your not coming up for air
Your just sitting there waiting for the rest to
Swallow you whole, just like them.
Those demons haunt us in our sleep
Slowly coming out to play, with hands
Behind our necks, wrapping slowly around
Air. I need air.
But the surface grows further away
And the air just keeps leaving the lungs
Of the diseased.
Broken down below the water’s edge
Slowly drowning under a thousands eyes
The pressure sinking in, but they stand there
Just letting us drown to fix ourselves.
