Life is like a flower garden

You begin the walk with a huge smile

At first it's beautiful

Welcoming even,

but then your foot gets stuck in the dirt.

You pull and tug, but it doesn't move.

Finally exhausted and tired you give it one last pull.

It comes out, but you no longer have a shoe.

You know you can't get it back,

so you keep going.

Hoping this will be over soon you keep trudging forward.

The vines pull and rip your clothes.

It pulls your hair and slaps you in the face.

This is not what you expected.

Finally you see the end.

You push and fight and the smile returns.

You then realize you only have some of what you went in with.

But you have a boquet of flowers and a sparkle

of adventure in your eye.

It was worth it.

Life is like a flower garden.
