Country Roads

  Country roads
  Take me away
  I’ve overstayed
  I’ve over-reached.
  Day by day
  This side of the world
  Loses color,
  I watch
  As the fireflies gather
  And
  The horizon comes closer,
  Wisps of light succumb
  On the glades
  By the overarched bridge.
  ‘Tis the hour
  The moondust flowers
  And blooms in my soul
  I must go.
  Towards my dreams
  With the ground
  And
  The skies.
