His hazel eyes
Searched for appraisal
In the minds of who
He knew so well
He was always dawned
On the past
And always waiting
For what came next
He’s a worrier
His eyes sometimes
Seem defeated
For his feelings
Are left untreated
Unmentioned and unattended
But it almost seemed intended
Leave things be
He always said
His eyes would seem ablaze
On other days
He would seem to be
In a happy daze
Not every day is bad
Not every day is great
Remember that
