It hurts
It hurts the way you treated me
It hurt me the way you didn't consider my feelings
It hurt knowing I tried to make me happy and you didn't do the same
It hurts to think about
It hurts that it's impossible not to think about
It hurts that everywhere I go there you are
It hurts to hear your name
It hurts to do things we used to do together alone
It hurts to write this poem
My heart in pieces by my feet
My body hot like the earths core
My eyes red and watery
And my hands pale and shaky
It hurts that I thought I meant something
It hurts to realize it wasn't meant to be
It hurts to act like I'm not broken
It hurts that things changed so fast from bad to worse
But most of all it hurts because for some reason I'm mad at myself
