running in pain
I was running on Friday as normal as ever
Even though I was under the weather
Running made me feel better
The wind blew through my hair
I looked down and
On my phone there was a glare
As i turned on my music it started to blare
As I ran down the street
I tripped over my feet
And fell on face
It felt like a hundred bees stinging me
My nose started to bleed
I laid there while music played quietly in my ear
I reached for my phone
and was relieved to see it was OK
Two people came outside to see what happened
I was embarrassed and angry that they had seen me
So I got up, shook it off,
And kept running
When I got to my house I grabbed some paper towel
And looked at myself in the mirror
Both sides of my nose were leaking
and the sides of my mouth were swollen
From this experience I learned
that I have a strong will
And that I am not the type of person
To give up.
