Silence comes with the moment of clarity
Glistening through the fogged shades of smoke
A blank piece of paper filled with thoughts
Scrambling as the page empties from the touch of my fingertips
The second hand ticking incessantly
Counting down until my eyes are blurred again
The sound of children giggling beyond the walls
The sound of water fizzing against the glass
Suffocate me as now my fingers are lost
