Protest
our throats are raw,
our arms are tired,
our legs are weary.
the exhaustion of moving mountains
will give the gift of the future.
they are big
but we are bigger.
i stand in the crowd
and i listen
to the songs of revolt.
to the noise of unity.
to the power of the people
in protest.
