Once upon a time…
There lived a lively prince
In the land of accepting adequate
Where he settled for much less
When he deserved the world’s respect

The insipid silence
Should’ve been applause from his audience
He’s the wood charred from the torch, burning again
Happy endings may exist
But she won’t know until The end
That’s the reality of Romeo and Juliet.

Romeo, wherefore art thou? Oh, Romeo.
Thou art thither, in wonderland.
My prince sitting alone, but sadly ‘tis not pretend.
Feeling lost in the unknown, Romeo looks for his princess
Next to him, an empty throne, but alas...I’m not Juliet.

Once upon a time…
There was a lonely girl
In the land of self-depreciation because she ate away at her own image
She was overly humble about her actions
Which made her seem narcissistically negative
She put herself below the lowest of the world
Any compliments lead to her disagreement
The village said, “what a beautiful maiden”
But she shook her head no
The love that even royalty showered down
Left a bitter taste in her mouth because she didn’t admire herself like she Should have had, like the small village did
A frog could be a prince
But she’ll never know until the kiss
So she dared to chase the desires she suppressed

Romeo, wherefore art thou? Oh, Romeo.
(He’s in love with the one who still shakes her head)
She could not accept the throne
Since she saw herself as a peasant
The pheasant was wing in wing with the peacock that insisted
His most vibrant feathers were dull before he met Juliet
The maiden barely spoke
As she feared to have regret
But little did she know
All Romeo saw was Juliet
Happiness, wherefore art thou? Oh, joy and glee!
Thou art hither, in this land.
True love in front of me
He asked me to be his princess!
Romeo, of all that be, although I'll keep to where I stand
A question, answer me
Dost thou accept me as Juliet?
