Seeing You
As each hour passes by, each memory of us comes flooding back.
Deep down, I knew that from every glimpse we shared,
from every talk that goes through the hard days, that I, as well as yourself, just couldn't see us keeping this spark alive as long as we both live.
Maybe my thoughts had change now that I see on the other side of the room
Everyone surrounding you, questioning how you've been.
Right at the moment I didn't want something as much as a thorough hello and how you TRULY have been doing.
Under these bright iridescent lights you made your way toward me with a smile that I love.
Just like an x-ray I saw right through you.
You're broken, just like me.
With zero motivation to continue.
