Dream of Possibility MAG
Black history month comes once a year
Our colors don’t change but we keep living in fear
Black or white used to be the choice
Now stealing and killing are the new resource
Thoughts of change are supposed to be good
Our first black president was not from the hood
Shadows on the wall, noise down the hall
We are a world of colors that represent us all
We all matter – at least that’s what they say
But our words and behavior show signs
in a different way
God made us different, can’t you see?
No one is perfect, not you or me
We can make a better world with all
hands on deck
We can make it happen with a little respect
Yes, we are important, Yes, we are smart and kind
If we work together the results will blow
your mind
