Once Upon a Time
Once upon a time on a calm, warm, happy day,
there was a very old dog.
He sat on the old wooden porch for hours every day.
He watched the butterflies fly, and the wild rabbits hop.
His favorite song, was the trickling stream down the hill.
His favorite color, was the green, green grass that covered the fields for miles.
His favorite smell, was the fresh air and
his favorite taste, was freedom.
He looked over at the boy, whose face was lit up by the phone in his hand, and the old dog thought to himself
“I wonder what his favorite song is?”
