"Teens"
As soon as I stepped out of that bus, the drama started
Maybe it’s the way we deal with the
Stress and peer pressure of being students
At a school where we rather cheat to get the A
Than actually learn the material
Yes, we are just kids
Using drugs and alcohol
To forget about our problems
Being in highschool now is different from back then
Instead of taking a girl out
We take her into the bathroom
Instead of taking a break
We take pills
We are our parents’ sons and daughters
Following in their footsteps
Even though we haven’t grown into their shoe size
Having good grades doesn’t make us popular
It makes us an outcast
The only way to fit in
Is to destroy ourselves with the poisons of adulthood
We are expected to act like adults
But are still treated like children
What did our parents expect
When they see us
They are looking in the mirror
And they don’t like what they see
