Forever After
I want to tell you how I really feel
but I can never find the words,
I want to say I love you so
And together fly like birds,
I look into your bright blue eyes
And can tell that you are listening
I look into your shiny smile
and can tell what you are missing
I stand my ground and hold your hand
You’re my eternal flame
I like it when we laugh like nuts
and people call us crazy
So this is for you, my only hope
The best poem I’ve ever written
I hope that you will never change,
And we won’t live unwritten
Though we are smart and we are strong
We can't see what's up the lane
I hope that you can take my heart
And make it strong again
this is for you
My only dream
My most heartfelt love there is
This is about you
My only wish
the one who makes me listen
Together we can laugh and cry
and hope and fly
And live forever after
and live forever after

This poem was written for my best friend. We aren't still friends today, but I had written a poem like this for her a long time ago. Together we shared stories, wrote songs, and attempted to write a novel, back when we thought we were going to be best friends forever. I hope that people have a friend like this so that they understand where my poem is coming from.
