Childhood Love
As a little boy I was struck with the challenge to the hit the ball over the net. We spent many hours together, hating and loving each other like an old married couple. I thought I would always love you but, as the years went by our love faded away. You demanded all my time, and I took you for granted. I was only seventeen with an athletic figure, built for you. I left you, but not because my body can’t take it but my mind can’t handle it.
