A Heaven of My Own
You're the gate to Heaven,
And I am the key that fits the lock,
But unfortunately I am broken,
And you are sealed up tight,
I see you've made a new key,
Glittering gold and bright,
And I am nothing more to you,
Than a rusted piece of metal,
I know your Heaven is closed to me,
But I'm off to see the welder,
Who will mend my broken handle,
And will make me shiny and new,
Soon I'll build a new gate,
And forge my own lock,
And I'll learn to live without you,
In a heaven of my own.

But sometimes, those people may not want us in their lives, and they decide to leave us and replace us. It breaks us, and it hurts. But ultimately in the end, we will live, we will get back up on our feet and we will be all right. We are the only ones who can fix ourselves, but it's okay to aske for outside help, and that's what the welder represents. Sometimes, we have to learn to live without those who once made us happy.
