Perhaps this is why I am now so regretful that

I allowered you into my heart.

Alack, so foolish, I let you steal it away.

You provided me with comfort

And what my young mind thought was love.

I didn't expect you to yank my heart out so quickly.

Nor did I think that I would beg you to stay.

But there I was, in tears.

Alack, so foolish, alay.

And, although I'd like not to admit it,

Tears I still am in today.

How hard it is to be a loner again

After feeling loved for so long.

But here I am, a loner once more...

My heart completely gone.
