The Pain Stays
I try to cut away my mistakes. I try to cry away the pain, but it stays. It stays inside me, like a million bricks on my chest. Weighing me down. Holding me back. The real me pounding to escape, but she’s trapped inside. Bound to me. Unable to be herself.
