Space Bound
Right side up, upside-down, if only
there was actually ground.
Floating in space for ages,
I could read countless book pages.
If a ship were to take flight, I
would be gone. In the blink of an eye,
into the black night.
It would probably be lonely but,
at least i’ve got my memories to keep to company.
Maybe too lonely, a hitchhiker would be alright.
As long as they don’t try and push me out the airlock
in the middle of the night.
Then again, maybe I should stay,
if I get to close the Sun,
it would definitely melt my face.
