Rosie red cheeks
Blood flowing through the veins
Heartbeat
Laughter filling the winter breeze
Cheeks now pale
Blood runs cold
Take me instead
Laughter is gone
Silence fills the air
Suffocating my violent sobs
Older sibling to no one anymore
Snow sticking beyond the window
Without her footsteps
The front yard no longer has meaning
I am numb
Not from the cold
