     Goodbye mother, goodbye father
I’ll see you later in life
I’m running away from your home
From all these rules and strife

So don’t expect me to be sorry
I shall not be sad
For leaving your unfairness
Has truly made me glad

     No more early bedtimes
Or homework or school
I will no longer be part of
Your stupid silly rules

     But, where would I go
If I ran away from home?
What would I do with life
Where would I roam?

Well, I was going to leave home
But I’ve decided to stay
So, hello mother, hello father
I’m am here for another day

I had a very good idea when I saw "Poetry" in the contest options. I hope people will get humor from this poem.
