Then Reality Hits
When you’re young you see the world as a happy place
Then reality hits
Its not so happy after all
the girl you once were is now gone
say so long
modern society drives you crazy
little do they know your home life is hazy
it will get better, so they say
but you know you lost your way
Then reality hits
You realize people always change but the memories don’t
people leave even when they promise you they won’t
Daddy’s little girl that is no more
he left one day and he never walked back through that front door
You sit still and watch the world around you
Then reality hits
The mother your once knew, she’s gone too
her presence is still there but her soul is lost
you keep your fingers crossed
that oneday it will all be the same as it used to be
Then reality hits
The faith you once had
it disappears and you think you’ve gone mad
but life isn’t wonderland
it’s no fairytale, what you see
That is your reality.
