Coach not believing in me
One day I was playing for my team running down the line as my irratating coach yelled at me to cross or pass the ball. Coached yelled “ Edgar get rid of the ball or do something with it”. Right after I got mad and just blasted the air out the ball as it hit the back of the net while the crowd screamed in joy. I looked at him and i just put my index finger on top of my nose telling him to be quiet. He looked at me like if I was a god because he has never seen me score a goal for the team. He also looked real shocked with his mouth open looking at me and thinking gosh he really scored.
After the game was over he invited me to go eat and talk about staying in the team with him because we had a big tournament coming up which was State Cup a tournament that he didn’t want to lose. After was ate some good food he told me “ Edgar please stay in the team you really going to help us out for the big tournaments”. As he told me that i thought to myself about like nah i’m quit the team after this tournament.
As the season was almost to its final i started to build courage about asking him to give me more playing time in the games because i only had 15 mins each half to show him what i can do. One bad game i had or played coach got mad at me and would take me out right away and i will feel like my world stop every time he took me out because i went insides the field with lots of confidence knowing i might score some behind the net. As days pass we was 2 games away from ending our season and moving on to state cup tournament.
As coached told us to stay after practice so he can tell us about what is going to happen with the team playing for state cup I nodded to say I understood what was going to happen . Little did i know that I was going to be bench half the game which made me mad and felt like i was losing myself because playing the sport I love is more important then anything.
