The Distant Man
I cannot have you
But I want you
My vision of perfection
Lies behind the green of your eyes
Encompassed in your mind
And etched in your heart
I cannot have you
Dark skin and big hands
Wrapped around mine
You dance away in the moonlight
Your touch fades
I cannot have you
Fate will not allow it
Our hearts already so close together
Must now be ripped apart
I cannot have you
They keep you far away
Mind mind can reach you
But bodies our bodies in disarray
I cannot have you
But if I could
I'd never let go
I never would
