Half Agony, Half Hope
i am half agony
i am the darkness that fails to blot out the luminesce of the creeping morning light
prematurely suffocated by its brilliance
deafeningly dissipating, diffusing, disappearing
i am the ray of sun that haphazardly pierces the cloak of dusk
before being claimed into perpetual peregrinate
ephemerally eremitical
cloistered to the realms of Elysium
i am the remnants of the fallen day
tainting the new
i am half hope
i am the final vapid valedictory to the woes of the night
the tribulations of the twilight
the thunderous sound of taciturnity
overpowering, overwhelmingly over
i am the brittle brightness bubbling into a halcyon of hope
blossoming, bursting, bewildering
i am the shattered remnants of the fallen day
straight-laced with jubilation
as darkness falls
i am half agony and half hope
