First Day
Frozen tongue, locked eyes
trying to break your gaze
Head spinning, hands sweating
don’t know how to break this daze
You’re easy to talk to but
it’s rather hard to speak
Because all I can think about
is how I wish to kiss your cheek
Freckled face, stunning smile my
perfect girl is finally here
I’d like to scream it to the heavens
and beyond but I don’t think they’ll ever hear
As much as I’d love to
I’m much too cowerdish to say
How much I’ve wished to hold you
since the very first day
