It was beautiful fall Sunday afternoon  

My family was at my house for lunch
We were watching the Cowboys
That's our favorite team

I love Cowboy Sundays
I get to chow down on football food
Chicken wings, hot dogs, burgers, deviled eggs, chips and dip
They are the best

Suddenly the power went out
My family went berzerk
My uncle Joey swore at the top of his lungs.
My mother screamed “Are you kidding me?!?!”

Someone exclaimed,
“Called the electric company!”
That's not easy
When you don't have power in the house.

An hour later
The power man arrived.
It turned out, we had too many devices plugged in
And blew a fuse.

By the time the power came back on
The Cowboy’s game had wrapped up.
My uncles were furious
My mom was miserable.

But, I was all good,
Because I don't need electricity to eat football food!
Even though my family can be crazy.
I still love Cowboy Sundays
