Shards Of Memory

Around the age of 15 my poppop, the most important man in my life next to my dad, left this Earth and took a piece of my heart with him.
Around the age of 11, my best friend and her mom were hit by a car right down the street from our houses. It took them months to recover.
Around the age of 17, I'm preparing myself for the "real world", and to be completely honest, I don't think I'm ready.
